Tetrahydrofuran (THF) GC is an organic liquid that is clear and colorless, possessing an odor similar to ether. The chemical formula of Tetrahydrofuran is C4H8O. It is capable of being mixed with water and exhibits excellent solubility in a wide range of solvents. Tetrahydrofuran is also recognized by other names such as Butylene oxide, Oxolane, and Tetramethylene oxide. It is composed of a ring formation consisting of four carbon atoms and one oxygen atom, resulting in a cyclic ether. Tetrahydrofuran (THF) is extensively employed as a solvent in various industries, offering diverse applications. In terms of its GC (gas chromatography) grade, it is primarily utilized for analytical purposes.

Bluster offers proprietary products specifically designed to suit the needs of GC and GC-Headspace methods. In order to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio in critical retention time windows, Bluster products are systematically validated for ECD, FID, and MS detection. The Bluster series headspace solvents are specially developed for gas chromatography and are tailored for the determination of residual solvents in pharmaceuticals and excipients, as well as pesticide residue analysis according to Ph. Eur., USP, and EPA. Solvent manufacturing for Bluster is based on a new and unique design of an ultra-pure solvent production head which assures the highest solvent purity. All of this ensures that all results from all analyses are accurate, reliable, and highly reproducible
