n-Pentane GC is a clear, volatile liquid under standard room conditions. It is a straight-chain alkane hydrocarbon with the chemical formula C5H12, belonging to the alkane group of saturated hydrocarbons composed only of carbon and hydrogen atoms in linear or branched structures.
