n-Butanol GC is a clear, odorless liquid that is colorless and has a scent reminiscent of bananas. It is also referred to by names like butanol, 1-Butanol, n-Butyl alcohol, and Butyl alcohol, with a chemical formula of C4H10O. This solvent is highly soluble in acetone, mixes well with ethanol and ethyl ether, but has limited solubility in water.
