Acetal, also referred to as Acetaldehyde Diethyl Acetal, is a clear, colorless liquid that possesses a distinct fruity fragrance. Its chemical formula is CH3CH(OC2H5)2. This compound is alternatively known as 1,1-Diethoxyethane. While it exhibits slight solubility in water, it demonstrates a high degree of solubility in organic solvents, including ethanol and ether.
